Scott Masters
Scott Masters is a Senior Financial Advisor with Assante Financial Management Ltd., and has spent over 18 years in the financial services industry as a financial advisor and as a vice president for a large wealth management company.
Supported by a team of professionals including lawyers, tax accountants and financial analysts, Scott uses a holistic planning approach, offering advice on all aspects of a client’s financial well-being, from investments and insurance, to retirement, tax & estate planning.
Scott achieved the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2004, the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation in 2008, and also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba (1998).
In 2008, Scott became a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), which places him in an elite group of only 5% of Canadian financial advisors that carry this prestigious designation. The FCSI designation is awarded to a select group of experienced financial services professionals who meet the highest standards for advanced education, ethical conduct, industry experience, and a strong endorsement from their peers.
Scott and his wife have two sons, Tyler and Brayden. Away from the office, he enjoys golfing, reading, travelling, coaching and watching his kids’ activities, and spending time with his kids.

Jenny Ewens
Jenny joined Assante and Scott Masters’ team in 2015, after a 10 year career as an Engineer in the oil & gas sector. She was exposed to the financial industry in 2009, and since then her passion for finance and investments led her to pursue a career in financial services.
Jenny is a key part of the team, supporting Scott with administrative, marketing, and client services. She graduated from University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and worked as an Engineer until 2015. Jenny attained her Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in 2008. She is currently working towards attaining the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Jenny and her husband have 3 daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, swimming, and travelling with her family.

Michele Sortland
Michele has over 20 years of experience in professional office assistant positions within the financial industry along with a track record of strong client service and attention to detail. Michele started working at Hein Financial Group with Allan Chapman in August 2017.
As Executive Assistant to Allan Chapman, she ensures the smooth operation of Allan’s clientele with her efficient handling of client inquiries, office administration and processing.
Outside the office you will find Michele keeping busy with photography, exploring Alberta’s Rockies and spending time with her family.
