Roy has spent over 22 years in the financial services industry. He started his career on the west coast, and in 1997 he moved back to his home province of Alberta. Shortly thereafter, he became a partner at Hein Financial Group and an advisor with Assante Financial Management Ltd.

Roy completed his graduate degree in Economics in 1995 and immediately started applying what he had learned in the financial industry on the west coast. Roy obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2004 and continues to add his knowledge on all things financial with meetings and seminars around North America.

Roy uses a holistic wealth planning approach with all his clients. Supported by a team of professionals including lawyers, tax accountants and financial analysts, Roy offers advice on all aspects of clients’ wellbeing, from investments and insurance, to retirement, tax and estate planning.

Roy has also been a qualifying member of the worldwide organization of the Million Dollar Round Table. He has been a qualifying member of the prestigious Assante’s Chairman’s Council for 7+ years and is also on the board of Assante’s National Advisory Council.

Away from the office Roy is an avid outdoors-man. He has also been involved with various chartable organizations within Calgary and the surrounding area as well as coaching minor sports.

Roy is married with three young children. He has been called a lot of things, but his favorite is ‘Dad’.
